thoughts

Hey everybody! most of you probably know that my sis has a blog--Rhea's Days.(rheasdays.blogspot.com). Its considerably more popular than mine. So why am I even talking about it? Well, I just wanted to comment on her style of blooging. (Haha, blooging) In my opinion, her blog is really funny, and every time I write something similar to hers, she throws a tantrum. For example:
"Hey, Rhea, look at my new widgets!"
"HEY! You copied my Fish widget!!!"
"No, I just like the widget, I did NOT copy you!"
"MOMMY! Rohan is copying my blog!"
See? What do you think I go through every day? Anyway, she made her blog before mine, and also started using Adsense before me, so everyone is trying to copy her with blogs, including a few of my friends.
You know, Rhea think I am copying her log right now, with this post, sice she had a post where she put some people's blog links...
OK, about the Twilight Review, this is turning really controversial. In my school, I could n't read, since when I took it out, my friends gasped, a girl stole it and began reading it, and we had to mount a rescue operation. My friend asked her if she had a jellybean, so she was confused, and I snuck around and pulled the stool out from under her. She dropped the book, I grabbed it, and ran. This all happened today in second period Chamber Orchestra, while Mr Lewis was making a cellist audition. Anyway, It will take me a little time to read.
I also got my old coach back in swimming. ( Not necessarily a plus..)He is a good coach, but when he left to coach at the Mitty summer DACA location, we got Coach Eric. Coach Eric made the sets really long, but easy. He was really funny too. Our old coach is really mean sometimes and loses his temper really fast. Otherwise he is a great coach too.
Okay guys ttyl. Laters!

rest of today/booklist

Hey guys, I had a pretty normal day, except for my sister trying to eat yogurt with a fork......anyway, you may have noticed that I have added a booklist page to my blog. This is where I will be reviewing books that I have NEVER read before (bye, Harry Potter) and maybe you might want to read them. The first book I am going to review is going to be Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. Probably 99.99% of all SMART people are saying ewwwww why would a cool person like Rohan read a silly book like that? Well, I have not read it before, and I have really only judged it from my friend's perspectives. I am a fast reader, so you can expect my review to come in about 3-5 days.I will post a background info article on the book on the Booklist page, if you want you can read that too. Okay, Bye!

today so far

Today so far...nice title, right! Well, in the morning I had a private bass lesson, where I got a new bow. (My teacher has been hinting that thew school bass bow that I use is really junky) So I am happy about that, except that I don't have a case for it. I don't know if I want to keep it in Mr Lewis's office...HEY! speaking of Mr. Lewis, I got second chair in Chamber Orchestra. Danny beat me, but I think that was because his solo was reeeeeeaaaalllllllly easy. But second chair is still really good and I am SO going to challenge Danny as soon as I learn how.
The other thing that happened today is that we went to the farmers market in Mountain View. My mom knows the area well, her company is right there. We spent like 25 minutes there, and got some fresh grapes, coconut water ( I know, right!) and then headed to Pho Garden, a pho restaurant. The restaurant was very modern and nice, plus the waiters could understand you and be understood. They also had this thing called the Pho Challenge. Wait! Pho is like a broth kind of thing with noodles and lemons and cilantro and shallots and cool stuff like that. So the Pho Challenge is this gigantic bowl of pho with 2 lbs of noodles and 2lbs of meat or tripe or whatever and you have an hour to finish it. If you finish, then you get the bowl and something else that I forgot. If you lose, you get a T-shirt. I wasn't even able to finish a normal sized one! ( What does that tell you?)
Okay I have math homework from Ms Bull to finish ( cool name, huh?) so I will post later. BYEEE!

the first loss

AS you probably can tell from the title, the Raiders lost to the silly 49ers, 28-24. The Raiders played really well, with three amazing touchdowns and a 57-yard field goal, but the 9ers managed to score at the last minute, making it 26-24. Then they converted it to two, so the score became 28-24.. Even worse, the starting QB for the Raiders got injured. Jason Campbell suffered a "stinger" to the neck and may be out for a while now. On the good side, the newspapers were not very harsh, but they made a big deal about Campbell's injury. Normally writers like Tim Kawakami are really mean to the Raiders, but the writers just focused on the big hit to Jason Campbell. Next week's game is against the Seahawks, on Thursday. Watch it!!

Upcoming game!

Hey everyone! As you all SHOULD know, there is another Raiders game this week, the 49ers vs. the Raiders. the 49ers are probably the second-best team in the NFC right now, since their coaching, players, and all their other team stuff has drastically improved. Last year, they won six games. This will be another Raider victory , I hope.

A quick trip to Jersey

Hey everyone! I spent this past weekend in New Jersey. Our family went there because one of our distant relatives had a baby, named Arlo. ( He happens to be extremely cutely adorable). When a baby becomes 6 months old, they go through this ceremony called an Anna Prashan. Basically, the baby is fed in front of a lot of people, then he is shown a plate of different items, such as a pen, a book, a rock, and other items , which determine his career. Arlo picked up the money and promptly began to eat it.
New Jersey was really humid, and I was sweating in my jeans when we got to our friends house in the morning. A puja for the Arlo happened at 2 and we came back at 11 pm.We spent the first night at our friends wonderful house, and the next day we went to the reception, where my sister and I played hide and seek in the back garden with our friends. We then went to another cousin's house, which was on a lake. They even had their own dock! Unfortunately, it was raining lightly and they did not have a boat. We went inside and enjoyed an hour or so playing Lego Harry Potter for Wii. Lego Harry Potter is reeeaaaallly interesting, since none of the characters talk. Anyway, we had a nice dinner then retired to bed. We woke up at 3 in the morning and rushed to the airport to board our flight at 6. We were barely even jetlagged due to such a short trip. N

The Raiders WON!!!

THE RAIDERS WON!!! The score was 17-9. The best part was that until 6 minutes left in the game, Dallas was winning 9-0.Then in the sixth minute the Raiders scored a touchdown on an awesome catch by Nick Miller. After the extra point, the score was 7-9. Dallas was blown off the field by a flawless Raider defense, who had 5 sacks on the QB, and the offense went up the field to score a 20-yard field goal. The score was 10-9 with 4 minutes left.If Dallas scored a field goal, the would have the lead. Dallas began their final drive pretty well, all the way up to the 50 yd line. Then their backup quarterback, Jon Kitna, threw an interception right into the hands of a Raider defensive back, who sprinted up the field for a touchdown return. After another conversion, the score was 17-9. Dallas had just a tiny chance left, and the QB threw a deep pass all the way to the end zone............for another Raider interception. The game was over, with Dallas being thrashed in their own stadium. A link for more info....http://scores.espn.go.com/nfl/recap?gameId=300812006

The Raiders

You may not know, but my favorite football team of all time happens to be the Oakland Raiders. Yes, you are probably saying to yourself that they suck and how could anyone possibly support them, but the Raiders have one of the largest fan bases in the NFL. I am a proud member of the Raider Nation. Anyway, I'm posting this since today is the first Raiders game--Raiders vs. the Dallas Cowboys. The Raiders have some new players, such as middle linebacker Rolando McClane. My dad tells me that he is an awesome player, and hopefully he'll be able to help. In my opinion, all the Raiders really need is to improve their offensive line so they can protect the quarterback. The Raiders also have a new quarterback-Jason Campbell. He used to play for the Washington Redskins( who thrashed us hollow last year). Dallas has a superb team, and unless the Raiders can hold together their defense , they will be beaten up. The game is tonight at 6-make sure you catch the game!

Camping Trip

This past weekend my family went on a two day camping trip with some of our family friends. Most of the families came on late afternoon on Friday, but my dad came at noon on Saturday because he wanted to go running that morning. Well, on Friday, my friends and I hung out around the barbecue pit area and threw a football around, attempted to play some cricket. We had a light dinner, and night began to fall, so we tried to light a fire with charcoals. With many lighter-fluid-sprayings, match-droppings, and desperate fire fanning, the fire managed to stay alight for no more than two minutes at a time. This made for a great time roasting marshmallows, and light hearted jokes. The kids retired to my family's tent to play Apples to Apples, a game that caused incessant laughter deep into the night.
I was the first person in the campsite to wake up at around 6:10 in the morning. The night at the campsite was so freezing That i woke up several times in the night. The temperature was no different come morning. We attempted again to start a fire to keep warm until the sun ripped through the fog. ( I forgot to say, this campsite was in the hills, and we were so high up that we were in a cloud in the morning.) We groggily move about the campsite, eating breakfast, while the adults decided they wanted to go on a run and investigate the lake. We had all seen a lake on the way in and were looking forward to swimming in it. We were all planning to swim and play games and have a blast at the lake. We basked in our happiness until the adults returned only to burst our bubble--we were not allowed to swim in the pool. We were desperate for something to do, so we unsuccessfully tried to play UNO , but then we found something pretty fun. We spent an hour setting up a volleyball net. We then spent about ten minutes playing volleyball, and twenty more playing badminton. We stood around, chatting and drinking soda for a while, until we had the idea to ask the dads to play volleyball with us. We played three super fun sets. We then enjoyed an excellent barbecue dinner. The next morning we woke up and began the rigorous cleanup process--getting rid of litter and packing up the tents and filling the cars withall the bedding that had been brought, along with everything else. This was an excellent trip overall.
